Real projects for real New Zealand businesses
Every business is different, so every project looks a little different too. Here are a couple of recent examples of what we've actually delivered, the problems we were solving, and how each engagement was structured.
Janssen Contractors: Secure Microsoft 365 Migration
The Situation
Janssen Contractors, a Christchurch building and construction business, was operating without a proper Microsoft 365 environment: no consistent email domain, no centralised file storage, and no real protection against unauthorised account access. With no internal IT resource, they needed a partner to design and deliver the whole thing properly, not just flip a few settings.
What We Delivered
Scope covered:
A full Microsoft 365 tenant built to best practice Professional email at their own domain, migrated with existing mail and contacts intact Company files migrated into SharePoint with proper folder structure and permissions Multi-Factor Authentication rolled out across every user Conditional Access policies restricting sign-ins to trusted locations A handover session so the team understood exactly what had changed and why.How the Engagement Was Structured
This was delivered as a fixed-scope project with a clear proposal upfront: defined deliverables, an agreed timeline, and no surprise invoices along the way. Once the migration was live, we recommended an ongoing care plan to keep the environment monitored and maintained, since a migration like this is really a starting point, not a one-off task.
The result: Janssen now runs on a properly secured, professionally set up Microsoft 365 environment, with sign-in access restricted to where their team actually works from, and a clear point of contact for what comes next.
Dux De Lux FC: A Website Built for a Real Club
The Situation
Dux De Lux FC fields multiple teams, men's and women's, across different grades, but had no real website to match. Fixtures, results, and player stats lived scattered across social posts and other people's platforms, with nothing that felt like the club's actual home online.
What We Delivered
Scope covered:
A custom multi-page website built around the club's own crest and colours Dedicated fixtures and results pages covering every team, with search and filtering by opponent, venue, and competition Sortable player statistics across the season A gallery, standings, membership and sponsors pages, and a proper "Join Us" page listing every team the club runs A foundation for keeping fixtures and results updated with minimal manual work going forward. How the Engagement Was Structured
This was delivered as a complete project: design, build, and testing across every page before handover, rather than a template with the club's name dropped in. We worked directly with the club to confirm details like team names and divisions so nothing went live inaccurate.
The result: Dux De Lux FC now has a website that actually reflects the size and structure of the club, all teams, all grades, in one place, instead of a single generic page.
Every project starts differently, but the approach is consistent: understand what you actually need, scope it clearly, and deliver it properly. If you'd like to see how we'd approach something similar for your business, get in touch.
